I’m Scott Orr, a writer, editor, web manager, social networker, and blogger based in Washington. I spent many years as a political reporter and tech writer with Newhouse News Service and the Newark Star-Ledger and have written for many print and online publications.

I’ve been online since I got my first Apple IIe when the Internet was a mere dirt road back in the 80s. I’m an early and frequent adopter and my data are fresh. I tend toward non-linear thinking, but with a balance that enables me to translate even weapons-grade complications into simple, understandable prose.
